DTF – DIRECT TO FILM PRINTING

Direct to film, commonly referred to as DTF, is a process where a single or full color image is printed on a specialty film using specific ink. These films are applied to the garment or other product using a heat press machine to seal the image to item. DTF is ideal for many applications and when done correctly will last for many washes.

When DTG is not available on a product we use DTF to apply the images. Common applications for DTF are polyester or dri-fit garments, hats and caps as well as many other products that are not ideal for use with DTG or in small quantities instead of screenprinting. DTF is also great for On-Demand printing.
